Eclectic Part VIII contains Bible verses about God. These verses are placed on computer plates. They tell something about God – He is lord of the wind and the seas. He is the good shepherd; He is the chosen Servant of God and the suffering servant; He is creator and redeemer; He is the eternal Word. He is the Son of the living God.
LORD OF THE WIND AND THE SEA
Bible verses Psalm 29:3, Psalm 77:16, Psalm 89:9, Psalm 107:29, Jeremiah 31:35 and Luke 8:23-24 – these are quotes taken from the Old Testament and the New Testament about the Lord of the wind and the seas and about God’s sovereignty over nature.
Psalm 29:3 - “The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters.”
Psalm 77:16 - “The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled.”
Psalm 89:9 - “Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.”

THE ETERNAL WORD OF GOD, THE LIFE AND THE GREAT LIGHT
Bible verses John 1:1-2, John 1:4-5, John 1:12, John 1:14 and John 3:16 – these are quotes from the Gospel of John in the New Testament about Jesus Christ and His relationship with God. He is the eternal Word, the life and great light, and the Son of God.
John 1:1-2 - “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.”
John 1:4-5 - “In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
John 1:12 - “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name….”
John 1:14 - “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

Isaiah 42:1, 4 - “Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him… He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.”
