Amore Gallery: Love, The Greatest Commandments

This gallery contains faith expression artworks or images based on two love verses found in the Gospel of Matthew. These are Matthew 22:37 and Matthew 22:39, which are verses about the greatest commandments of God – love God and love your neighbor.

In chapter 22 of the Gospel of Matthew, it was written that someone asked Jesus which commandment of God was the greatest, and Jesus answered him. The conversation went in this manner: “Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind [Matthew 22:37]. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself [Matthew 22:39]. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” (KJV)
