THE YAHWEH GALLERY

Gallery Y serves as page and gallery for faith expression artworks about YAWWEH. The name is the most holy name of God in the Old Testament part of the Bible. It is a name most revered by Jews and Christians alike.

There are eight faith expression artworks – including the title artwork – and they are based on Old and New Testament verses of the Bible. The Book of Genesis and the Gospel of Luke were used as references. The Book of Exodus was also used as a reference and it was the originating source of inspiration for the work “YAHWEH.” In addition, the Book of Isaiah was another real source of inspiration for some of the artworks. The eight faith expression artworks are the redrawn version of the original artworks, and they come from the artist’s “Blue Faith” collection.

Specific Bible Verses which Served as Bases for the Artworks

Isaiah 40:25-26 - “To whom, then, will you compare me, or who is my equal? says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high and see: Who created these? He who brings out their host and numbers them, calling them all by name; because he is great in strength, mighty in power, not one is missing.”

Isaiah 43:1 - “But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”

Luke 10:20 - “… rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

Genesis 1:1 - “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

Isaiah 44:24 - “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the Lord, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who by myself spread out the earth.”

Isaiah 42:8 - “I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.”
