This is part three of the article entitled, “A Selection of Artworks: The Cross of Christ and The Crucified Christ.” Each faith expression artwork is based on a Bible verse or a group of Bible verses. In this article, these are the Bible verses that were used: 1 Corinthians 13:13, Colossians 3:15, Isaiah 53:5, John 3:16, John 16:33, Luke 23:44-46, Matthew 5:9, Hebrews 11:1, John 10:11, John 12:24, John 13:34 and Isaiah 53:13-15.

1 Corinthians 13:13 - “But now faith, hope, love abide these three; but the greatest of these is love” (NET)

Colossians 3:15 - “And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts.” (NLT 2016)

Isaiah 53:5 - “But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.” (NLT)

John 3:16 - “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (NIV®)
